3 Days Zanzibar to Mikumi safari overview
Join Key2Africa Safaris for an exciting 3-day adventure from Zanzibar Beach to Mikumi National Park and back. Leaving Zanzibar, you’ll head to Mikumi National Park where you can see lots of animals. You’ll go on fun drives to get close to these animals. After exploring Mikumi, the tour takes you back to Zanzibar with amazing memories of animals and beautiful sights. This short but really cool safari shows you the best of Tanzania’s nature, and Key2Africa Safaris will plan it according to when you can travel.
Day 1 : Zanzibar Sea Port to Dar es Salaam Sea Port
You will be picked up at 5:30 a.m. by our driver from your hotel/house to board your first ferry, which sails at 7 a.m. You will arrive at Dar es Salaam Sea Port at 9 a.m. and meet your driver/guide. After packing, you will drive to Mikumi National Park for 7 hours, stopping for lunch in Msolwa before arriving at Mikumi National Park. Arrive in the late afternoon and experience an evening game drive around Mikumi National Park, with exceptional animal sightings in several regions of the park such as Mkata plains, Kisungura area, and Hippo ponds. Staying at the campsite for the night to eat and sleep.
Day 2 : Full day game drive in Mikumi National Park
After breakfast, depart for a lengthy game drive with a packed lunch. Lions, eland, hartebeest, buffalo, wildebeest, giraffe, zebra, and elephant are common sightings. Packs of wild dogs can be observed here. The vast horizons and plentiful wildlife of Mikumi’s popular centerpiece, the Mkata Floodplain, are frequently compared to the more famous Serengeti Plains.
Day 3 : Mikumi National Park to Dar es Salaam-Zanzibar
After breakfast, you will drive back to Dar es Salaam to catch the last ferry that departs at 3:30 pm, or you will drive to the park and spend about 5 hours game driving, then leave the park experience en route game driving slowly so that you can take pictures, then drive to Dar es Salaam, where you will arrive in the late evening and be dropped off at the hotel.
